NATIONAL NEWSAs part of it’s countrywide ‘Go Green’ initiative, the Indian Army commissioned a “Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring System (CAAQMS)” at Fort William Military Station, Kolkata.General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command, commissioned the system, which monitors air pollution on a real-time basis. Boeing has signed a technical assistance agreement with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to jointly develop a comprehensive 10-year roadmap for modernising air traffic management in India.The roadmap is expected to be developed within 18 months and it will be undertaken with a grant from the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). The World Bank retained its forecast of India’s growth rate at 7.5 per cent for the current financial year.
